A man convicted in a deadly hit-and-run case has been sentenced to 12.5 years in prison following a fatal incident that claimed the life of a young pedestrian in Bloomington.
Lamont Eugene Williams, 22, was sentenced to 150 months (12.5 years) in state prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder without intent in connection with the crash. The court also credited him with 40 days already served in custody.
The sentencing stems from a tragic incident involving a 21-year-old man from Apple Valley, who was discovered seriously injured on the roadway near 11th Avenue in Bloomington.
